Due to excellent entry numbers for the Achensee EuroCup (40 FDs and 40 Kosar) and limited space on water and at the club there is no further entry possible. For everybody looking forward or staying at home here is a great video from last years Austrian Championship.

FD fleets in Russia beyond the Ural mountains mostly consists of the very old restored boats and boats under restoration. It’s original wooden rigging is lost by now. Sailors are building wooden masts and booms themselves.
At the same time many sailors in Europe changed their alu rigging to carbon, and have their old unneeded mast in the garages.
The Siberian Fleet is asking to share their old unneeded rigging. I could collect it at Balaton or other main regattas in Europe and distribute to sailors in need.

We on the General Committee recognize just how important it is for the classes future to encourage young people to start sailing the FD and so we must do everything we can must to support them, especially in attending our major championships, where the cost of entry, travel and accommodation often can be prohibitively expensive. We have re-launched the Youth Grant scheme three years ago for the World Championships in Steinhude.
