At the beginning of July 62 boats from 7 nations met at the Großer Alpsee in the South of Bavaria for the International German Championship. A high pressure system with enormous heat left only little hope that we would sail at all. At the late Thursday afternoon one race was started and one other not finshed with a long series of jury decisions whether the race was okay or not. The second day the wind from east was a little bit better and good for 3 races with a very challenging and complicated wind from east. On the third day 4 great races with good wind from west finished the series and at the very end AUT 38 Christpoh Aichholzer and Phlipp Zingerle were the new International FD Champion with only 26 points. On second place Thomas Schiffer and Alexander Antrecht a new team in the German FD class with their first season racing FD. On third place Peggy and Torsten Bahr from Berlin.
