Our VP-technical, Peter Hinrichsen, sent an email for publication purposes. This publication was spoken of at the Worlds 2010. Our technical board finalized it today. Here is the posting.
The swiss have a new website since 2011 and the link to their host will be attached to the Swiss-flag on short notice. Great news to see that the Swiss class-organisation is managed by many young new FD-sailors. On the website they posted an invitation to join them in Steckborn. All information is posted on the yacht club website (use the link to get there).
On Friday the 20th of January the Dutch had their annual 2011-meeting. After 18 years Thijs and Theo Rutten stepped down as event secretaries. Despite Thijs was always listed in the Dutch-bulletin. They always acted together to get the job done. The Dutch-board decided to salute them with a big homage. Thijs and Theo are now NFDO Honorary Members.
You either like Facebook or you dislike it. The IFDCO started using Facebook and most of you have visited our Bulletin page. The IFDCO webmaster uses Facebook a lot. But especially for announcements and last minute things. FD-sailors who don’t want to be on Facebook don’t see this. That’s why the webmaster opened the Facebook page Guest Ned, for the Dutch FD-members. This is for all the members who want to look around on Facebook, but don’t want a private account. You can get the password by request. Want to look on Facebook mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s a test if it works out we will open up a guest-account for every country.
The latest visible news is that we added the country flags and links in the footer of the website. So switching to your country when visiting www.sailifdco.com is now possible. We keep you posted on further enhancements.
