We have a sunny and warm morning in Scarlino and expect a nice sea breeze. After three days of measurement (thanks to Tanja and her team for their great job pushing so many boats in time through measurement!!) the opening ceremony has been postponed to this evening due to a thunderstorm in the late afternoon. The fleet has been divided in two fleets and the first race will start at 11:55. I am sorry that you will not be able to follow the race live today. Metasail will be available from tomorrow on.

Less than three more days till the first start of the 2017 FD Worlds in Scarlino, Italy. The first boats are already through measurement and plenty of trailers on the road to Tuscany. 109 Crews from 18 nations will start on Monday for the first race. Watch it live! it is a great pleasure to welcome you at Marina di Scarlino!
We are excited to confirm that 105 FD are registered and we will do our best to fulfil your expectation. We are pleased to send you a brief booklet with some logistics and organizational tips, to make your arrival as smooth as possible.
Please, keep in mind that NO CAR IS ALLOWED TO ENTER INSIDE THE MARINA, but you will find plenty of space in the very wide parking area just outside the Marina gate! You could unpack and prepare your boat there, taking all your time, and enter the Marina gate walking with your boat. Your road trailer and your car can be parked there all week long.
Please, take a look to the attached document, to be informed in advance of the venue facilities and the event program, and the measurement arrangements!
