Dear FD sailors,
We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd Hand Market and the new Boat Registration System for the Flying Dutchman class.
The Flying Dutchman 2nd Hand Market is the official platform for posting and viewing listings of used Flying Dutchman boats, equipment, and accessories within the class community.
The 2nd Hand Market is part of the TECHNICAL section of the International Flying Dutchman Class Organization(IFDCO) website and is open to all FD sailors worldwide.
What can be advertised?
You may submit second-hand items related to the Flying Dutchman class, including:
• Boats
• Boat parts
• Sails
• Hardware
• Trailers
• Other FD-related equipment
All listings are intended for class-related items only.
How to submit a listing
To submit an item to the 2nd Hand Market, please use the official submission form: Submit a second-hand item
Items must be submitted using the official 2nd Hand Market form.
All listings are reviewed by the IFDCO before publication, so please allow some time for approval.
Registration and second-hand boat
Listing an item on the 2nd Hand Market does not replace boat registration.
After buying or selling a Flying Dutchman boat, owners are kindly requested to update the boat information using the new registration system.
Boat registration tools are available in the TECHNICAL section: Register your boat
Important note
The IFDCO provides the 2nd Hand Market as a service to the class.
All transactions are the sole responsibility of the buyer and seller.

The International Flying Dutchman Class Organization (IFDCO) is delighted to invite teams from around the world to join us at the Flying Dutchman World Championship 2026, taking place during Kiel Week in Kiel, Germany, from 21 to 28 June 2026.
In support of global participation and to encourage sailors from across the globe to compete, IFDCO will cover the official regatta entry fee for all competitors residing outside continental Europe. This means that if you are traveling from outside Europe, your entry fee for the World Championship will be fully covered by IFDCO — a gesture aimed at strengthening international participation and making this event even more memorable.
We look forward to welcoming both new and returning Flying Dutchman teams for a week of thrilling racing, great camaraderie, and the true spirit of international competition.
Register now through the official event entry platform to secure your spot at one of the most prestigious events in our class. Full details and the registration link are available here: Registration Link
In addition, at least five Flying Dutchman charter boats will be available in Germany, making participation easier for teams traveling from overseas.
For charter boat inquiries, please contact Tom Greten directly at: tom@greten.tech .

The countdown is on: During Kiel Week this June, the global Flying Dutchman community will gather for our World Championship — and we want to see as many teams on the starting line as possible.
On January 19, we’ll be joining the “Kiel‑Treff” at boot Düsseldorf, the world’s largest watersports exhibition. Our team will be on stage to talk about the upcoming Worlds, answer questions, and build excitement for what promises to be an unforgettable championship. Please help spread the word so we can boost registrations ahead of time.
Official registration for the other Kiel Week classes will only open starting Monday — but your early commitment and visibility make a big difference.
For those planning their stay, you’ll find a useful link for caravan rentals in Kiel Schilksee during Kiel Week and our Worlds here: https://www.witt-wohnwagen.de
According to the information shared with us, a caravan rented continuously from 19–28 June 2026 is available at €74 per day, plus a one‑time €150 fee for setup and cleaning.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Kiel — let’s make this World Championship one to remember!
