Last weekend the Dutch Nationals were sailed at Medemblik, the same venue as the upcoming Worlds. In perfect sailing conditions – sunny with a fresh breeze – Enno Kramer and Ard Geelkerken in NED-26 became the new Dutch Champions. FD Sailing GER 30 / Alexander Antrecht and NED-4 Klaas Tilstra and Pieter Zandstra completed the podium. Congratulations!
With the Worlds coming up in less than three weeks many teams used the opportunity to see if their boat is all ready for the big event. Fortunately, there’s still some time to fit in a few ropes here and there…
Just before the Dutch Nationals the EuroCup Kiel Week took place with plenty of wind and a dramatic last day with races 10 and 11. GER 113 with Kilian König and Johannes Brack so far leading the regatta, broke their mast while reaching and dropped back on 4th place. HUN 70 also broke their mast in the next race. Congrationlations to Kay Uwe Lüdtke and Kai Schäfers finishing the last three races on 1st and winning over all the Kiel Well regatta with DEN 21 Jörgen and Jacob Bojsen Möller on second and HUN 70 Szabolcs MAJTHÉNYI and András DOMOKOS on third. Here are the final results.
The following EuroCup regattas will be the Austrian Championship at Achensee, Austria and Marina Preis in Torbole Italy.
