Worlds 2023 Information 5 (1)

Dear Sirs,

In connection with the upcoming worlds as part of Gdynia Sailing Day 2023, we have prepared for you a package of information and necessary documents to register in Gdynia. Please read the following information carefully:

1.       Arrival with equipment survey: Please fill out a short questionnaire regarding arrival with equipment at the Worlds 2023. This survey will help us to better organise the event and tailor our activities to your needs. The link to the survey can be found below: https://forms.office.com/e/jSwcv2urp9

2.       Stopover statement: If you plan to leave your units at the Marina in Gdynia, please print and fill out the stopover statement before arriving at the event. These declarations are important for administrative purposes and will enable us to organise the space in the marina efficiently. They should be submitted to the marina’s harbormaster upon leaving your equipment there. The Polish and English versions of the declarations can be found in the attachments to this message.

3.       Costs related to arrival before the start or departure after the end of GSD 2022: Information regarding the rates associated with the use of marina facilities can be found in the attachment to this message..

If you have any questions regarding the survey, stopover declaration, Gdynia Marina or other aspects related to Gdynia Sailing Days 2023, please contact us by e-mail w.wiezynis@pya.org.pl. We are here to provide you with all the help you need.

Worlds 2023 – low entry-fee till 15th of July 2023 5 (4)

Dear FD-sailors and Worlds contenders,
to make up for the problems with the registration for the Worlds in Gdynia Poland even more the organizers and IFDCO have decided the extend the date for the low entry-fee up to the 15th of July 2023.
I hope this eases up a few things for those going to Gdynia!
Regards

Worlds in Gdynia 1.5 (14)

Dear FD sailors, what’s the matter with you? In 6 weeks we have our World Championships in Poland, in Gdynia on the beautiful Baltic Sea. In Central Europe, in midsummer! Only there are hardly any reports. If everyone only thinks of themselves or regionally, our beautiful class will die very quickly!
We currently have 25 entries, that’s shameful and so sad!
It’s not okay that Carlo, for example, stands up and says, “The Italian championship in S. Benedetto del Tronto will be the most beautiful and best regatta of the whole year, come all” and on the other hand all Italian boats are missing at the World Championships.. .
It is also not sustainable that e.g. the Croatian class, which is getting stronger every year, expects more boats in Pula, but none of their boats come to Gdynia…
AUT, SUI, CRO, ESP, GRE, GBR, DEN, UKR are currently missing…
CZE, HUN, POL and GER have far too few boats at the start.
So we don’t even have to consider next year in Florida, USA. There it would probably 15 participants…
Give yourself a jerk, FD sailors! Reports in Gdynia. The early bird discount is still working!
